THE CARD ERA
This project was created as part of a Klarna assignment.
The goal was to show how generative AI can support creative thinking, planning, and storytelling for social content.
Task 1: Picture This, Not That
Asset type
Concept visuals and prompt exploration
Intention
The goal was to explore visuals that feel real and relatable, not flashy or unrealistic.
A lot of influencer content today shows constant spending and luxury. This task focused on moving away from that and toward everyday life and real budgets.
THE REAL THING, BABY
Process
AI tools were used only for early exploration.
Midjourney was used to test normal settings, natural light, and realistic styling
Prompts avoided luxury cues and focused on familiar environments
Different moods were tested to find what felt human and trustworthy
Result
A visual direction that feels grounded and believable.
This helped shape a tone that reflects real people and real choices.
EXPECTATION VS REALITY: TAKE IT EASY
The concept plays with tension and payoff.
It starts with visually intense, serious expressions, documentary-style shots, and everyday environments — setting up the expectation that using the card might feel stressful or complicated.
The payoff is simple and calm.
The Klarna Card just works. The moment mirrors real life: what people expect to feel overwhelming turns out to be easy and familiar.
Why it works
The surprise happens in the first seconds. What feels stressful becomes easy and familiar.
That shift mirrors Klarna: something people expect to be complicated is actually simple.
Style
Natural lighting. Real people. Everyday locations.
Documentary-style camera, minimal text, and a clear product moment at the end.
Hit Your Klarna Card One More Time
Klarna isn’t risky or special.
It’s just a card you can use anywhere even when you don’t expect it to work.
TASK 3
I had to present previous work that demonstrated my creative skills, design process, and my ability to use AI as support throughout different stages of development.
HAPPILY EMPLOYED
Happily Employed: The Holiday Job Hunt
Intention / Goal:
Make a social post that supports people who feel stressed or unsure about work during the holidays. The goal was to show care, reduce pressure, and help people feel less alone — without trying to “fix” them.
What it communicates:
The candle stands for calm, routine, and hope. It represents staying steady when everything feels heavy.
Prompting & Workflow (simple):
I wrote the message myself, then used AI to help refine the tone and wording.
I used Canva to test label layouts and design elements.
SKÖN NOIR:
Let Your Real Self Breathe
Intention / Goal: Create a fashion film that shows a journey from feeling small to feeling strong without using spoken words. The goal was to show emotion through visuals only. What it communicates: The shots show tension, release, and personal strength inspired by the emotional experience of masking as a neurodivergent person.
UNDRESS
Prompting & Workflow (simple): I used AI tools (Midjourney + Sora) to explore shot ideas and visual tone. I planned the order of shots and the emotional flow using AI prompts and notebooks. I edited the final video myself in CapCut and no AI was used in the final cut. Every shot was placed by hand to guide rhythm, pacing, and emotion.
NIKKI IN SWEDEN
Made in Warm Colors
MADE WITH THE 70S IN MIND
Intention / Goal: Build a visual identity that feels warm, friendly, and trustworthy, inspired by 1970s patterns, but still modern and clear. The goal was to show personality without overwhelming the viewer.
What it communicates: Pattern and colour act like memories, familiar, soft, and comforting and help my brand feel human and approachable.
Prompting & Workflow: I used AI early to explore patterns, palettes, and layout directions. Then I chose colours, shapes, and typography by hand. I refined the final layout and brand assets myself to keep the look clean and readable.
REFLECT WITH ME
I learned that AI can help me explore ideas, but I need to make the final creative decisions myself. In these projects I used AI to test styles and structure, then I finished the work by hand so the emotions stayed real.
I saw that small design choices can make people feel supported, that visuals can show feelings without words, and that warm colors and patterns can help a brand feel friendly.
Overall, I learned that AI is helpful at the start, but my voice and choices give the work its meaning.
