My journey in fashion school wasn’t easy. I dealt with doubt, unkind moments, and people telling me to give up. A sweet note from Betsey Johnson helped me keep going.

DREAMING

Inspired by a statue by another Nicole (same first name!) West, called Cotton Candy Burlesque. That piece shaped the direction of this project. It mixed ballerina lines, Betsey Johnson party dresses, and pink, a colour I definitely don’t wear now.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

It took me some time, but I picked up real technical skills and figured out a few things about myself along the way.
